A few weeks ago, I had to cancel a few preorders because I just had SO MANY!! And they are so expensive when they first come out!! I got a twitch the other day because I saw books that I had pre ordered (for full price, of course) on Book Outlet for like, $4. Books that I HAVE NOT READ YET. Because ARCs. ALLL the ARCs. This is just my actual life. You have written a post about my life. (Sidenote: Don't feel bad about Harper, for some reason, they seem to randomly reject a lot of people who I can't imagine why they'd ever reject!) When I first was approved for NetGalley, I requested and downloaded way too many books! Then, of course, I put an inordinate amount of pressure on myself.<br /><br />Now I sit on my hands...almost literally....instead of requesting more than I can handle. Three books max, and I try to arrange the dates so that I have breathing room.<br /><br />I am trying not to purchase as many Kindle books...but request them as ARCs instead.
