1. Katja Millay - Katja came out with her debut novel, Sea of Tranquility, THREE years ago and I have been desperate for more books from her ever since. I read this book for the second time last month and it was as beautiful as I remembered. She needs to do more!!
2. Leah Thomas
3. Louise O'Neill - I know she has already came out with her second book (Asking For It) and I desperately need to get my hands on it. Only Ever Yours was one of my favorite books this year!
4. Francesca Zappia5. Adam Silvera
6. Sabba Tahir - Sequel comes out in 2016!
7. Cordelia Jensen
9. Amy Zhang
10. Caroline Kepnes - It's no secret this was a favorite of mine. SO EXCITED FOR THE SEQUEL!
What debut authors would you like to see more of?
Great list! I have Only Ever Yours and An Ember In The Ashes sitting in my towering TBR pile - I've heard such great things about both. I hear Asking For It is a book worth the read too. x
ReplyDeleteThanks Rhoda! Both Only Ever Yours and Ember in the Ashes are SO GOOD!! I know how it is to have a huge TBR. I hope you can get to them soon. Only Ever Yours is one of my favorites of the year, so I have high hopes for Asking for it.
DeleteKatja Millaaaay! I totally agree!!! <3
ReplyDeleteErika, YES! I would read ANYTHING she writes. Let's start a petition to get her to write something else. :)
DeleteYou have so many on here that are on my TBR! I bought More Happy Than Not and Sea of Tranquility. So hopefully I get to them soon. I had Leah Thomas as well. Great list!
ReplyDeleteThanks Grace! I really hope you love More Happy Than Not and Sea of Tranquility. Sea of Tranquility is one of my favorite books ever and More Happy Than Not will definitely make my list of favorites for 2015. :)
DeleteI haven't read most of these, but I did love Sea of Tranquility and would love to see more by this author.
ReplyDeleteLisa, Sea of Tranquility is one of my favorite books EVER! I would love more by her.
DeleteI've read Tahir and I can't wait to see what's coming from her! Everyone else here is on my tbr. :)
ReplyDeleteCheck out my TTT and the weekly meme I hosting on my blog Music Monday.
Thanks Lauren! I hope you get to the others that are on your TBR. All of these books are amazing.
DeleteAmazing list, Cynthia. Maybe we should sign petitions and email these guys! :D Sometimes, pretty please really does work!
ReplyDeleteThanks Ramona! YES!! I think that would be a great idea. We need to start some petitions for some of these authors to write more.
DeleteI absolutely adore Louise O'Neill's writing. She's so fearless. Great list!
ReplyDeleteThanks Chrissi! Only Ever Yours was so AMAZING!!
DeleteGreat list. You have a few books on here that I have read and enjoyed myself. I think I am also going to have to add a few of these to my Christmas wishlist, it looks like I have missed out on some great debuts recently. I am especially excited to read An Ember in the Ashes, I have heard so many good things about that one. Here’s my TTT.
ReplyDeleteThanks Charnell! An Ember in the Ashes was SO GOOD! I hope you get to it soon.
DeleteYESSS I definitely LOVED Caroline Kepnes's first book and can't wait to read her sequel! I read a preview and it sounds super creepy! Great list Cynthia!
ReplyDeleteThanks Jeann!! I was just lucky enough to get the ARC for the sequel to You and I am SO EXCITED!!
DeleteThe Sea of Tranquility is one of my favorite books of ever, and it hurts my heart that she hasn't written anything else yet. I keep holding out, hoping for more. PLEASE, let there be more!!! I just recently listened to YOU on audio, and I LOVED it!! I just received the second book (it's on Netgalley!!!!) and I'm so excited to check it out. Such great picks! :)
ReplyDeleteLisa, YES! I just got Hidden Bodies on NetGalley too!! That is the MOST EXCITED I have ever been for an ARC!!! I tend to read books a few weeks or the month before the are published, but I can't wait until February for this one. It is next on my TBR. And I keep searching Goodreads and Amazon for another book by Katja Millay. I am dying for more books from her! She will be on my auto-buy list for sure.
DeleteI haven't read An Ember in the Ashes yet, but it's sitting on my shelf. I can't wait to check it out!
ReplyDeleteStefani, I hope you get to it soon. I loved it!
DeleteI had sworn I'd commented, because I even mentioned your post in your comment on mine! It's cool, just losing my mind ;) The funny thing is that Francesca almost made my list (graphic done and everything!) and I cannot WAIT to read Skyscraping and Because You'll Never Meet Me! I didn't love Falling Into Place, but I DID love Amy's writing style, so I am definitely excited to read her next book! Fabulous list, of course :D
ReplyDeleteShannon @ It Starts At Midnight
Shannon, I agree with you about Falling Into Place. It was not my favorite book and it did take a while to connect with the MC. But I LOVED her style, so I can't wait. Looks like we are thinking along the same lines yet again. :) You need to read Skyscraping and Because you'll never meet me soon. They are wonderful books!
DeleteStephanie Oaks does need to write another book!
ReplyDeleteI ordered Asking for It via book Depository, but it never came in. I really want to read her books!
Lyn, I want to read Asking for It so bad! It is not available on Kindle or in the U.S. T all, so I will probably order it online soon. I have heard great things.
