Top Ten Tuesday - Books I Really Want To Read This Fall

This is a weekly meme hosted by The Broke and the Bookish. They feature a different top ten list every week. This week's topic is my TBR for the Fall.

Ahhh . . . . so many books!! Seriously, I am way behind in books on my TBR. Between ARCs and beta reading, I feel like all the unread books that I own are giving me the stink eye for ignoring them. The good news is that I have gotten my reading mojo back or whatever so I actually feel like reading again. For this list, I am not really counting my ARCs or all the many, many books coming out in the next few months that I really want to read. No, all of the books on this list are ones I already own and hope to get to at some point in the distant future.
1. 1. The Girl from Everywhere by Heidi Heilig

2. Little Cyclone: The Girl who started the Comet Line by Airey Neave

3. Raging Sea (Undertow #2) by Michael Buckley

4. Shiny, Broken Pieces (Tiny, Pretty Things #2) by Sona Charaipotra

5. How It Went Down by Kekia Magoon

6. The Good Girl by Mary Kubica

7. The Lies About Truth by Courtney C. Stevens

8. A Thousand Splendid Suns by Khaled Hosseini

9. Don't Touch by Rachel M. Wilson

10. Down With The Shine by Kate Karyus Quinn

11. The Year of the Flood (MaddAddam #2) by Margaret Atwood

12. MaddAdam (MaddAdam #3) by Margaret Atwood

What books are on your TBR for this Fall? Have any of you been neglecting to read books you own . . . or is it just me?

  1. I have The Year of the Flood in my TBR, but it didn't make it to my TTT post this week.

Here's a link to my TTT post for this week: http://captivatedreader.blogspot.com/2016/09/top-ten-tuesday-books-on-my-fall-tbr.html

    1. Grace, I think I only had that one on my TBR because of your review! I recently read Kite Runner and I loved it. I highly recommend that one.

    1. Joy, her books are really good, but also really intimidating. They are easy books to put off, even though I end up losing them. There are just way too many books out there that I want to read!

  4. I'm so behind on my ARC list I can't even read the other books I'm buying! The Girl From Everywhere and Down With The Shine have been on my list since they came out, but I still haven't read them.

    Happy Reading!

  7. OH ME TOO. I neglect my own books all. the. time. It's absolutely absurd really.😂 I just read library books and ARCs and buy these books I'm dyyyying for and then don't read them. *facepalm* So I'm actually really hoping to get a handle on my personal TBR before the end of the year! Cue scornful laughter hahha...because as if that will happen. *sobs* But anyway, firstly YAY that you have your reading mojo back. And also The Girl From Everywhere is AMAZING and mildly piratey (but not, like, overly) and also Kash is a sassmaster and there's a pocket dragon. So much win. :')

    1. Cait, isn't it awful?!? Oh the problems of a bookworm! All those poor books just gathering dust on my bookshelf (and on my Kindle).

    1. Greg, I really enjoyed the first one. I just hope the second one is as good. I would recommend it! But then again, maybe you should wait until my review on the sequel comes out. Ha.

  13. I have definitely been neglecting books I own! So okay. You MUST read Don't Touch and The Girl From Everywhere- they are favorites of mine. And also, The Lies About Truth and Down With the Shine. So good. I take it you liked Undertow then? I will need to read it, yay! I almost bought Raging Sea because it was in the clearance section of BAM, but I have to force myself to stop buying sequels of books that I haven't read, so... ;) I hope you get to these, and that you love them too!

    1. Shannon, if you say those are your favorites, I will move them to the top of the list for sure! I did enjoy Undertow, yes. I thought it was really unique and I loved the characters. I am just hoping that the sequel is good. I have heard mixed reviews for the sequel, so we'll see.

  14. YES I loved A Thousand Splendid Suns so much! It was such a harrowing read and I felt so upset while reading it, but it was done so well. I also enjoyed TGFE even though it was problematic in some parts. Lovely TBR list!

  15. I really want to finish reading the MaddAdam series as well - I read Oryx and Crake years ago and loved it, and have been meaning to get to the other two. But it was so long ago, that I feel like I should read O&C again before I continue, but then that means adding ANOTHER book to my already-out-of-control TBR - hence, no progress made!
    Good luck with your TBR!

    1. I know what you mean about the MaddAdam series. Part of me wants to read the first one again too because it's been so long. Her books are always good, but they can also be very intimidating. I really need to read the rest of the series.

  16. I don't buy too many books, but I always ask for a lot for my birthday and Christmas and for whatever reason sometimes it takes me forever to get around to reading them. :/ Great list!
