The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by Kimba @ Caffeinated Book Reviewer. It is now time to recap the month of June!
First of all, don't forget to enter my June New Release Giveaway Hop! Giveaway ends in two days!!
Yes, another month has come and gone. It feels crazy that we are less than six months away from Christmas. Insane! June was a great month. I went home to the States for a couple of weeks to visit family and I had a great time. Lots of quality family time and lots of great American food.
This month promises to be a good one as well. On Wednesday. my husband and I leave for Scotland! We will be flying into Edinburgh and staying there for a couple of days. Then we will rent a car and drive around some of the Scottish Highlands to enjoy some beautiful scenery. I am super excited about that.
I did read a lot of great books this month. I read a total of seventeen books this month.

How was your month? What was your favorite book read?
Sixteen books this month (when it's not quite finished!) is very impressive!
ReplyDeleteAnd the trip to Scotland sounds even better. I hope you have a lovely time and hopefully we'll see some pics!
Oh yes Deborah, I will be sharing pictures for sure!
DeleteI hope the Scotland trip is amazing! I am sure it will be. I have it on my list of one day travels (which is on hold until my little people aren't so little). Awesome on the books read this month. I can't believe its almost July!
ReplyDeleteThanks so much Grace! Can you also believe it is less than six months until Christmas?? Argh!!! I am sure Scotland will be amazing. I have always wanted to go there. I will share plenty of pics when I get back!
DeleteNice reading stats! And ohhh Scotland, I love Scotland and I could listen to that accent all day! Have a fab time.
ReplyDeleteThanks so much Trish!
DeleteHave fun in Scotland it's a place I want to go it looks beautiful. I love the accent :) The cover of Skyscraping is beautiful. Have a fantastic week.
ReplyDeleteMegan @ http://readingawaythedays.blogspot.co.uk
Thanks Megan! Yes, the cover of Skyscraping is just as beautiful as the book itself. :)
DeleteI tried to listen to the LITTLE PARIS BOOKSHOP but it was over the top. Glad you got to visit stateside.
ReplyDeleteSteph, I can't even imagine the audio. I liked parts of it, but other parts were just too much. Over the top is right.
DeleteHope you enjoy Scotland, I have some pics of my little part of the Highlands on my Sunday Post this week!
ReplyDeleteHave a great week!
Heather @ Random Redheaded Ramblings
Thanks so much Heather! I just went to your blog and your pictures are gorgeous! You are so lucky to live there. :)
DeleteThanks for your review of miss Peregrine. I tried it long ago and couldn't get pass the first pages. I'll give it another try. :)
ReplyDeleteEnjoy Edinburgh :)
Thanks Daniela! I will say that it started out a bit slow, but then after the first couple of chapters, it really picked up. I hope you give it another try and I hope you enjoy it.
DeleteOooh, Scotland must be looking really awesome right now. Isn't it amazing and at the same time scary how fast time flies? It feels like it was only yesterday that I graduated uni, and now here I am 3 years later and finally done with schoolwork and shiz :P Have a nice vacation and enjoy Edinburgh!
ReplyDeleteFaye at The Social Potato
Thanks so much Faye! Yeah, I think someone on Facebook posted the number of weeks until Christmas the other day . . . it is scary close. I swear, the older I get, the more time flies.
DeleteOh your travels sound wonderful especially the highlands. Hope your week is wonderful Cynthia!
ReplyDeleteThank you so much Kimba!
DeleteEnjoy your trip to Scotland! It sounds absolutely beautiful. I'm curious about Skyscraping now. I hadn't heard of it before but between your loving it and that cover I'm definitely curious. Have a great week!
ReplyDeleteThanks Katherine! Skyscraping was beautiful. I cried so much while reading it! I hope you enjoy it.
DeleteI know, hard to believe it's almost July. Glad you got to come home, and enjoy your trip to Scotland! Sounds fun.
ReplyDeleteThe cover of Skyscraping is really nice. it sounds like it might be a little heavier than I like to read, but your review makes a good case for it. And that cover is something else. :)
Thanks Greg. It is a heavy book for sure, but the writing was so beautiful. And yes, it is already July . . . Christmas will be here before you know it. Yikes!
DeleteScotland is awesome and you two are going to love it :) Have fun! Wow, you had quite the productive month - applause, applause! I read Half-Bad & Half-Wild this week, and both were amazing. As was Black Iris :) It was a lucky month for me, in terms of quality fiction.
ReplyDeleteThank you so much Ramona! I am so glad you enjoyed Black Iris. It always feels like a lot of pressure when someone reads a book I recommend. So glad it worked out this time. :)
DeleteAhh I really want to read Skyscraper!! :D You wrote such a beautiful review :)
ReplyDeleteThank you so much Rachel! I am glad you enjoyed the review. It was a beautiful book for sure.
DeleteMy mother took a trip to Scotland and fell in love with the place. Have a wonderful trip and look forward to hearing about it when you get back!
ReplyDeleteMy Sunday Post - http://fuonlyknew.com/2015/06/28/whats-new-on-my-bookshelf-115-and-the-sunday-post/
Thanks Laura! I just got back and it was AMAZING!! I will be posting lots of pictures soon. :)
DeleteI hadn't even heard of Skyscraping, but now I'll definitely have to check it out! Going to check out your review now, since I apparently missed that one.
ReplyDeleteNicole @ Feed Your Fiction Addiction
Thanks Nicole! I hope you read it and you enjoy it. :)
DeleteFirst of all, I am extremely jealous of all the traveling you do! I hope you have a fabulous time in Scotland. =)
ReplyDeleteI haven't heard of Skyscraping so I will have to go read your review. I didn't read a ton this month, in fact I had to go on Goodreads to see what I've read to answer your question about my favorite one of the month, and that would have to be The Summer Of Chasing Mermaids, it was such a good book!
Hope you have another great month!
Thanks Shay! I just added The Summer of Chasing Mermaids to my TBR because I have heard great things about it. Sometimes I also have to go to Goodreads to see which books I read for the month to see what my favorite is as well. But I read Skyscraping so recently that it was a no brainer. :)
