What books are on your Summer TBR? Are there any books on this list that you have read? Where should I start?
Little Peach is great! It's a tough read, but one well worth reading. I'm really excited for Skyscraping and More Happy Than Not. I don't know if I'll get to them soon, but I definitely want to read them sometime. :)
ReplyDeleteKaitlin, I have heard great things about Little Peach so I am super excited. And I am pretty sure some of these may not be read this summer. I am sure you know how fickle TBR choices can be. ;)
DeleteMore Happy than Not and Damsel Distressed are two that I keep seeing popping up places and they both sounds great. Hope you get to and enjoy them all!
ReplyDeleteThanks so much Grace! I have heard great things about both of them. I really hope they live up to the hype. :)
DeleteAn Ember in the Ashes is such a good book, I really hope you enjoy it! I cannot wait to get started on 'A Legacy of Kings' - it looks so good!
ReplyDeleteMy TTT
Thanks Rosy! I have great things about both of those books so I have high hopes.
DeleteDon't we all want to read GO SET A WATCHMAN as soon as it comes out?
ReplyDeleteOh yes we do!! I have it preordered and plan on reading it immediately when I get it!
DeleteI didn't write it down; I guess I just assumed, like tech editor, that we are all going to read Go Set a Watchman!
ReplyDeleteHere's what I hope to read this summer!
Deb, you are so right!
DeleteDo you think that the Harper Lee book will be on everyone's list this summer? I suspect so.
ReplyDeleteKay, I have a feeling you are right!
DeleteGreat list! A Legacy of Kings has my curious piqued, will have to check it out on GoodReads. Happy reading this summer :)

Thank you! I just received the ARC and I am super excited about it.
DeleteI punch myself in the face for not having Go Set A Watchman on my list. Your list is awesome!! We could def be reading buddies!!
ReplyDelete<3 Britt @ please feed the bookworm
Thanks so much Britt! :)
DeleteI forgot to include Harper Lee on my list! I hope to read it this summer... or whenever I make it to the top of my library's hold list. I loved Fairest! Can't wait for Winter to be released.
ReplyDeleteOh I can't wait for Winter. I am beyond excited!!
DeleteI'm absolutely bookmarking this - your list is amazing, Cynthia. Can't wait for Go Set A Watchman!!!
ReplyDeleteThanks so much Ramona! I have that one preordered and I can't wait!
DeleteYay, very happy to see Fairest on there, I think you are going to LOVE it! I'm really curious about Skyscraping too so I need you to tell me if it's any good or not! :)
ReplyDeleteTrish, I just finished Skyscraping today. I read it within twenty four hours and it was AMAZING!!! I am not usually a fan of books written in verse, but this one was so good. I think I was in tears for half the book!
DeleteI just finished An Ember in the Ashes last week, and I really, really liked it a lot! Hope you enjoy it as much as I did. I'm really intrigued by A Whole New World. I like the idea of re-imagining the Disney films, but the summary for that one sounds a little generic. I'll be curious to read your review. Happy reading!
ReplyDeleteThanks so much! I have already seen some mixed reviews for A Whole New World, but I am trying not to let that sway me. I am hoping it's really good. I love Disney movies and I love retellings so we will see if this one lives up to the hype.
DeleteGO SET A WATCHMAN, for sure. I think it's on just about everyone's TBR list this summer. A WHOLE NEW WORLD and DAMSEL DISTRESSED also look really good.
ReplyDeleteHappy TTT!
Oh yes Susan, I have seen it on many lists. I am really hoping it lives up to the hype!
DeleteI'm looking forward to Go Set a Watchman too! Brave New World is an interesting read. I read it last year and found it probably my favorite of the dystopian "classics" I've read.

That is so good to hear Lois! I have read a few mixed reviews so I was getting a bit nervous. I am hoping it lives up to the hype.

ReplyDeleteLooks like you have a great summer of reading ahead of you!
Thanks for stopping by the The Local Muse
Thanks Mallory! I am equal parts excited and terrified. I really hope it lives up to the hype!
DeleteI'm seeing An Ember in the Ashes a lot today!! The book was SO good. I hope you enjoy it!
ReplyDeleteThanks Christy!
DeleteOoooh Damsel Distressed! I should have put that on my list too! Also, Ember was good! And Little Peach was... well, I won't say "GOOD", but it was remarkable and memorable and important and worth the read. That's the only way I can describe it! And I need Skyscraping! Jealous of your pre order :D Hope you enjoy all of these!!
ReplyDeleteShannon @ It Starts At Midnight
Shannon, you are the reason Little Peach is on my TBR at all. Ha. I have already read Skyscraping. Finished it today! Man it was so amazing. I was in tears for half of it.
DeleteYou picked some great books!! AEITA is SO good. I really want to read Fairest and Little Peach too. Enjoy your books :)
ReplyDeleteRachel @ A Perfection Called Books
Thanks so much Rachel!
DeleteI really enjoyed An Ember in the Ashes. I hope you will as well! I still need to read Fairest myself.
ReplyDeleteCayt @ Vicarious Caytastrophe
Thanks Cayt! I have both of them loaded on my Kindle, just begging to be read. I can't wait!
DeleteI'm torn on reading 'Go Set A Watchman'. Part of me is dying to read it, but the rest of me can't seem to shake Harper Lee's previous stance on releasing new work and the strange timing around the finding of (and sale of) this one. Hmm.
ReplyDeleteI kind of know what you mean, but Harper Lee did release a statement saying she was excited about releasing this book. And of course there was the investigation that determined she was of sound mind and she wasn't being taken advantage of. I just figure she can change her mind about publishing her work. :) I am choosing to be optimistic.
DeleteLooks like quite the list for this summer :D I'm trying to get a few of my in progress series caught up :)
ReplyDeleteThanks Anna!
