Top Ten Tuesday - Required Reading for LGBTQ class

This is a weekly meme hosted by The Broke and the Bookish. They feature a different top ten list every week. This week's topic is a back to school freebie. I decided to list the top books that should be required reading for any class about LGBTQ issues. I tried to include a variety of topics, everything from gay to bisexual to transgender to AIDS issues to issues of diversity.

Have you read any of the books on this list? Are there any others that you would include?

  1. I've only read two of these (Simon vs. and Ari & Dante) which makes me sad. I am going to read Because You'll Never Meet Me soon though! And I'll Give You the Sun too. Tell the Wolves I'm home has a beautiful cover, I'll have to check that out too :D

    1. Cait, oh that is SHAMEFUL!! Now that you have seen my syllabus for this class, you MUST read all required books! :) And if you gave 5 stars to the ones on this list that you have read, then I am sure you will love the others too.

  3. I am always happy when Tell the wolves I'm Home is on a list anywhere. One of my all time favorite books. I loved Simon, Aristotle & Dante, I'll Give You the Sun, The Art of Being Normal and Because You'll Never Meet Me. I bought Skyscraping because of your review but need to get to it. Great list!!

And I REALLY want to read The Art of Being Normal- I need to get that one ASAP. Love this topic choice!!
