I read Maybe In Another Life this year and thought it was really good. I would definitely read another of her books!
ReplyDeleteGreg, you really should! I have read all her books except one (and that's only because I can't handle that level of emotion right now) and I have loved all of them. Maybe in another life is still my favorite, but she's pretty amazing with all of her books.
DeleteSo many great books! V.E. Schwab is one of my favorite authors, and J.K. Rowling too, of course. Great list, and thanks for sharing! :)
ReplyDeleteHere's my TTT
Thanks Petra! I really can't believe I just discovered Harry Potter this year. CRAZY!
Deleteyesss TO VE SCHWAB WHO IS SO ABSOLUTELY MARVELLOUS AND FLAWLESS. *flings confetti in the air* I'm so glad you tried her books and loved them! I also adore Marie Rutkoski and and Robin Benway. And omg why haven't I read Wolf by Wolf yet. What am I doing with my life. XD Here's my TTT!
ReplyDeleteCait, and I just finished another book by Schwab: A Darker Shade of Magic. It was SO GOOD!! I am officially in love with her. You NEED to read Wolf by Wolf. And the sequel is JUST AS GOOD. How often does that happen?
DeleteKim Holden and TJR ♥︎ I love them both. I really loved Emmy & Oliver and can't wait fro more from her. Great list!!
ReplyDeleteThanks Grace! And you were the one who introduced me to both of those authors. :)
DeleteYes, I love V.E. Schwab and Marie Rutkoski, they're on my list too! Wolf by Wolf and Emmy & Oliver are on my TBR list, I hope to get to them soon :)
ReplyDeleteLindsey, Wolf by Wolf (and its sequel) is SO FREAKING GOOD! I hope you get to it soon. It may be one of my favorites of the year.
DeleteYAY, V.E. Schwab is so so great and I really want to get to Wolf by Wolf soon!
ReplyDeleteHere is my TTT!
I really, really hope you do! It's such a great book. :)
DeleteI just wanted to thank you for an older post about culling your TBR. When I first read it, I thought why would I even do that having a giant list really isn't hurting me? But then I guess I thought about it and really dug into my list (which is hundreds of books long spanning 5 or so years) and researched the books there and removed the ones that I didn't really want to read and those that my state library system didn't have (because I'll never buy a book) and since it's years old it will never get ordered if it hasn't already. I'm not done but I have the beginnings of a manageable list and have knocked out some of the earlier TBR list and have loved those books. Thank you!!!!
ReplyDeleteOh wow CT, I love hearing that! Seriously, that makes my day. I am so glad that one of my posts helped you. I know that on the surface, a TBR with books you don't even own doesn't seem to make much of a difference to you. But it can feel like so much pressure (to me anyway). So glad to hear that your list is much more manageable!
DeleteI have hyet to read any of the authors on your list!!
ReplyDeleteHere's a link to my TTT post for this week: https://captivatedreader.blogspot.com/2016/12/top-ten-tuesday-top-ten-new-to-me.html?showComment=1481051250703#c1172297993412473813
I hope you read some of them soon!
DeleteHooray for Taylor Jenkins Reid and Jennifer Mathieu. I enjoyed all of those books as well.
ReplyDeleteKate, I love those women. So glad you do too!
DeleteTJ Reid seems to be in everybody's list this week! She's a new one to me as well. :) I can't wait to read the rest of her books.
ReplyDeleteJoyous Reads, I have read all of her books except one and I love them all. I am sure you will too!
DeleteBook twinges - I read V.E. Schwa and Emma Donoghue for the first time this year too. I have no idea why I waited so long to read Room, I absolutely loved it! Happy to hear that you enjoyed her book as well!
ReplyDeleteAhhh, me too!! I had Room on my Kindle FOREVER before I finally read it!! I can't believe it took me so long, but I am so glad I finally read it.
