4. Charlotte after Charlotte Bronte (Jane Eyre is one of my favorite books)

6. and 7. Harper after Harper Lee and Atticus from To Kill A Mockingbird
8. Leslie from Bridge To Terabithia by Katherine Paterson (the first book to ever make me cry)
9. Sheldon after Shel Silverstein (love him so much!)
10. Luna from Harry Potter by JK Rowling - Yeah she is one of my favorite characters. Love her!

ReplyDeleteThanks Grace! I absolutely love the name Charlotte too. Even though Jane Eyre is one of my favorite books, I think the name Jane is too plain. Charlotte will do though. :) Isla is a very pretty and unique name.

DeleteI named my dog Atticus! *hi fives* I mean I would name my kid it but I probably will not have kids (I will be crazy book lady...that's a thing right?? 😂) BUT IT'S LIKE THE BEST NAME OF EVER. I also love the name Isabel. <3 And I wish Hermione wasn't such a HP-only-name because it's awesome and I'd name, like, my goldfish Hermione. *nods* If I had a goldfish. WHICH I DON'T BUT YOU KNOW WHAT I MEAN.
ReplyDeleteCait, what an awesome dog owner you are! Atticus is a great name for a loyal dog. :) I thought about Hermione, but I kind of became obsessed with the character of Luna. I wanted even more of her in the book. :)
DeleteI could totally see myself naming my child Luna after Harry Potter! But other than that, I haven't really found a name I loved based off of a character!
ReplyDeleteThis is FUN! I did one of these once, because I LOVE BABY NAMES. And books. So BOOM. I really wish someone had not vetoed naming my son Finnick, but he DOES really seem like a Sam (it's up to you to decide if that was coincidental, but I am sure you know the answer). I do love Luna, and Sheldon would be SO cute! Also, you're much nicer than me, I wanted to name my kids Penryn and stuff sooo... :) Great choices!

DeleteI have always loved Harper for a girl. It is my top girl's name. Lovely list! Westley is a great name as well.
