Top Ten Tuesday - Books that I would love to read again for the first time!

This is a weekly meme hosted by The Broke and the Bookish. They feature a different top ten list every week. This week's topic was a freebie, so I chose to do a post on books I would love to read again for the first time.

There are certain books that either give me all the feels or they have such shocking plot twists that you would just love to relive it . . . but alas, you can't. Rereading favorites still makes me happy, but let's face it: there is nothing, absolutely nothing, like that first time you read a beloved book.
1. The Sea of Tranquility by Katja Millay

2. Simon vs. The Homo Sapiens Agenda by Becky Albertalli

3. The Law of Moses by Amy Harmon

4. You by Caroline Kepnes

5. The Hunger Games by Suzanne Collins

6. Jane Eyre by Charlotte Bronte

7. The Handmaid's Tale by Margaret Atwood

8  Gone Girl by Gillian Flynn

9. The Book Thief by Markus Zusak

10. Where The Sidewalk Ends by Shel Silverstein

Are there any books you would love to be able to read again for the first time?

  1. I've only read a few of these, but The Hunger Games is one of those books I wish I could read again for the first time. Along with Harry Potter, Throne of Glass, and Jellicoe Road. :) Great list, and thanks for sharing.

    1. Nick, I absolutely loved Jane Eyre the first time I read it. I need to reread it. But man, nothing beats that first time! And yes, you need to read Gone Girl and You. Both of them are great, but I read You in the span of four hours because I just could not put it down! I was on the edge of my seat. I hope you love both of them.

    1. Maranda, I am so glad I could do that! I LOVED Shel Silverstein as a child and I still love him as an adult. I just purchased the anniversary edition of Where the sidewalk ends and read it all over again. It brought back some wonderful memories.

  15. The Handmaiden's tale is one of those seriously disturbing books! I remember talking about with a coworker and we were trying to explain it to some others having lunch with us. They were all like "WTF?!?!" Yeah, its that kind of plot. But, its Margaret Atwood...so I don't think she writes anything that ISN'T a bit WTF!
