And don't forget to enter my giveaway! The giveaway for a new August release of your choice ends in just 24 hours.

What's Been Going On . . .
It's September! I am so glad August is over, mainly because I love Fall weather. But I live in Naples, Italy, which is right on the coast. So typically, our autumn resembles more of a warm Spring. Either way, I hate the heat so I will be happy to see that go away. I am also very excited for a couple of trips my husband and I are taking. Next weekend, we will be going on a long weekend to the Umbria and Tuscany region. I love that we are close enough that we can drive there! We will also be celebrating our seventh wedding anniversary on September 18. We will be spending the weekend on the Amalfi Coast, which is pretty much the most beautiful spot in Southern Italy. Of course I will be posting lots of pictures for you guys.

This month was a really good month, reading wise. I read a total of 24 books this month! Yay! I participated in Bout of Books 14, which helped me get some more reading in. And because I overextended myself with September ARCs, I also participated in ARC August.

Here are the books I read this month, in all their glory:

  4. We spent our honeymoon 12 years ago on the Amalfi Coast and it was fab! Lucky you to be so near there. Those cliffside roads are scary though, I don't fancy driving them! You had a busy August!

    1. Trish, yeah my husband actually loves driving those cliffs. He is crazy because I could never do it. But it is something else to ride them. It is an awesome experience.

  5. I used to work in developing countries but have been to barely any non-developing countries. I have to admit though I have no desire to go to the US etc... But I do want to get to Italy one day cos I want to do the cliched Tuscany thing! :-)

Meanwhile... I can't believe you read 24 books. That's amazing!!!!

  7. My friend's daughter and her new husband are honeymooning in Southern Italy right now. They had someone immediately try to steal from their backpack as they got of the transportation into Naples. They also thwarted it.
Kudos at 7 years! Enjoy the vacation!

    1. Thanks Steph! Yeah, believe it or not that happened to my husband after a year of living here and it was right outside the train station. They tried to steal his iPad, but luckily he thwarted it as well. I hope they still have a good time though. Naples has a problem with theft, but I absolutely love this area.

Great job on your reading this month. I wanted to participate in the readathon but couldn't. I still need to read The Young Elites and I'm curious about Legacy of Kings.

    1. Ramona, I am SO GLAD you loved Two Boys Kissing! It's always a lot of pressure when someone reads a book based solely on my recommendation. :) It is one of my favorite books this year.

  15. I totally hate the heat as well. I can't even explain how happy I am that we are at the end of summer, because I HATE this season.

Has Italy had a major heat wave? I think I remember something on the news about it.

    1. Lyn, oh yes we had a major heat wave. It was over 100 degrees, but the weather app said it felt like 135 outside. It was miserable. There were several older people that actually died from it. I am so, so glad that it has cooled down a bit.
