Friday Finds is a weekly meme hosted by MizB at Should Be Reading, where we show off books we recently added to our TBR list or books we recently purchased, borrowed, etc.
I got approved for several eARCs through NetGalley this week so I thought I would share those. I am really excited to read these!
1. If I Fall, If I Die by Michael Christie - a story about a boy who has never been outside and has never known anyone except his mother, who is agoraphobic.
2. Seeker by Elys Dayton - a new dystopian novel that has been compared to Hunger Games
4. The Little Paris Bookshop by Nina George - Not going to lie, I requested this one based solely on the title. It is set in one of my favorite cities and it is about a bookshop! But it also has an interesting premise: the owner of a bookstore uses his intuition to prescribe the perfect book for each of his customers. I can't wait to read this one!
Have you found any new books this week?
2. Seeker by Elys Dayton - a new dystopian novel that has been compared to Hunger Games
3. The Walls Around Us by Nova Ren Suma - This one is being described as a ghostly suspense story told from the POV of two people, one living and one dead.

The Little Paris Bookshop sounds like something I could enjoy, too. I'm glad you put this on my radar. :) enjoy your finds!
ReplyDeleteNo problem Joyous Reads. It sounds like an awesome premise. Thanks!
DeleteThis week I read Enslaved by the Others by Jess Haines, and Ensnared by A.G. Howard. I'm currently debating what I should read next, but the mailman just showed up with a copy of Chloe Neill's Dark Debt, so I think my decision has been made. :D
ReplyDeleteCarmel @ Rabid Reads
Carmel, oh Dark Debt has been on my radar and it looks great. Hope you enjoy it!
DeleteThe Little Paris Bookshop title sounds intriguing!
ReplyDeleteYes it really does!
DeleteOh the Little Paris Bookshop sounds great - your first choice sounds a little sad but maybe I'm biased because I've just read something similar... Here are my FFs https://cleopatralovesbooks.wordpress.com/2015/01/16/friday-finds-january-16/
ReplyDeleteCleo, I am reading If I Fall, If I Die now and it is kind of sad. What book did you read that was similar. A readers curiosity . . . :)
DeleteI see you've been and found out - a similar sounding concept to Alice and The Fly!
DeleteSeems like you got a great haul from NetGalley and they all sound interesting. I saw The Little Paris Bookshop there but didn't request. Although have to agree wit you, anything with bookshop in the title is a lure for readers.
ReplyDeleteOh yes Kathryn, I am up for any book about books! Ha
DeleteI so need to get my hands on The Walls Around Us. Just for the cover alone if nothing else!
ReplyDeleteAllie, I know, the cover is awesome!
DeleteA book about a bookshop sure sounds promising! The Walls Around us is definitely going on my TBR now as well :) Thanks for sharing!
ReplyDeleteEugenia @ Genie In A Book
No problem Eugenia, I have started The Walls Around Us and it's pretty good so far.
DeleteI am reading Seeker currently.(The comparison they've been giving isn't at all accurate either- it isn't really dystopian, and it definitely isn't a thing like THG!) It isn't going great. I don't have a clue what is happening, but I do hope it works better for you! I also must start reading The Walls Around Us VERY soon. It sounds so good! Hope you enjoy these :)
ReplyDeleteShannon @ It Starts At Midnight
Shannon, yeah I am starting to read mixed reviews from bloggers about Seeker. I hope I do enjoy it. I just started The Walls Around Us and so far, it is very good.
DeleteI'm pretty interested in The Walls Around Us and I was so so as well for Seeker but the ratings and reviews on Goodreads are pretty bad. And it's a long book so I won't take a chance. :P Great picks though! Aren't 2015 books just EXCITING??
ReplyDeleteLola, I know, lately I have been reading mixed reviews for The Seeker on different blogs. I hope I like it though. I have started The Walls Around Us and so far it's a really good read. And YES, I love all the new books!!! :)
